Sharing Creative Work Beyond Doubt A Brooklyn Cottage Evening of Show & Tell

show_and_tell

Show & Tells at The Brooklyn Cottage are always so wildly fun, so this month we decided it was time for more. Whatever your latest creative work–a piece of music, some ideas for a children’s book, freshly baked muffins, a new invention, a radical plan–and no matter how incomplete, come show us and tell us about it. Each presenter gets five minutes. Cast aside doubt! Seize the day! (Heck, our last Show & Tell saw a marriage proposal.)

Now’s the time to take center stage.

Presented in partnership with A. Glenn, Todd Daniel and Leah K. White.

We’ll provide snacks. You bring something to drink.

Date: Saturday, October 26th

Time: 6:30-10:30 p.m

Participant Limit: 20

Cost: $8

Cardamom challah bread baked that morning; puppets in the form of Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo in Truffaut’s Breathless; exquisite photographs of Juilliard dancers covered in flour and feathers; a unique guided meditation; the first line of an in-progress poem called Instructions for Healing a Broken Heart (“Eat mashed potatoes”); a short film with tulle as its star; a personal statement for a medical school residency; a sonnet written on the F train that afternoon about our month’s current month’s theme (“Doubt”). All of these and more were on offer at The Brooklyn Cottage’s Show & Tell on Saturday night.

Aw, go on. You be next.
