philip kiracofeco-founder, the failure club

phillip

A self-described “adventure capitalist,” Philip Kiracofe is the co-founder of The Failure Club, a support group that defies the basic conventions of success by challenging members to tackle an inspiring project so audacious that they are nearly certain to fail. Philip’s first project was to raise $10 million for a venture fund within the space of one year. He failed. It took him three years to fund it.

Emboldened by this sort of failure, Philip has since summited Mount Kilimanjaro, made a barrel of Shiraz, completed a Comrades Ultramarathon, and co-founded Travelcology–a marketing agency that seeks to find the natural alignment between brands and causes.

The Failure Club is a presentation on Yahoo, offered in collaboration between Morgan Spurlock’s Warrior Poets and Horizon Partners.

Philip presented The Failure Club model to The Brooklyn Cottage in March 2012.
