Julianne Zaleta is a Park Slope-based herbalist, aromatherapist and natural perfumer. As the founder and proprietor of Herbal Alchemy Apothecary, she crafts–and teaches about–artisanal and bespoke perfumes from the purest elements of nature, and also creates aromatic and therapeutic remedies and elixirs for a wide variety of ailments. Julie’s passions extend to artisanal cocktails, and she recently created the Shihito: shiso-infused vodka with free mint, cucumber slices and yuzu essential oil. A popular teacher at 3rd Ward and The Brooklyn Brainery, Julie’s products are all handmade out of her studio atelier.
At The Brooklyn Cottage, Julianne will teach The Banquet of Scent in January 2014.
